Help shape the health and well-being of aging populations.

Sociology is the study of social life, social change and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations and societies and how people interact within these contexts.

App State’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology - Sociology of Health and Aging degree program will present you with the opportunity to explore how social, cultural and historical forces shape individual health access and experiences, the structure of health and medicine, the experiences of older people in society and the opportunities and challenges they face, as well as inequalities in health and illness.

You will graduate ready to explore opportunities in the growing aging and health service industries, health policy and advocacy organizations, or health promotion sales and marketing companies.
