Earning your Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History at App State sets you apart from the field.

By studying the past, you are better able to understand and communicate the importance of issues in our contemporary world. Our curriculum will help you develop strong research and critical skills, creative methods for recognizing patterns of information and techniques for clear and persuasive writing.

You’ll gain experience in evaluating ideas and information, examining and interpreting evidence and developing a worldview that will help you become an expert decision-maker.

These skills provide App State History majors with a variety of opportunities after graduation, from law and business to entertainment, marketing, government leadership, education and graduate school. You’ll learn to communicate persuasively and use information effectively — skills you can apply in almost any profession.
