With a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geology from App State, you will join the Earth explorers who practice geology through evaluating water resources, finding remedies for environmental problems, predicting natural hazards and providing insights into past climate change.

Through in-depth skill development in research, analytics, data management, critical thinking and collaboration, App State Geology graduates gain a worldwide scope into a discipline that combines science and the humanities.

App State Geology graduates have the field skills, core geologic knowledge and credentials to obtain a Professional Geologist (PG) license — an essential certification for many jobs in the field of geology, especially those in the environmental industry.

This degree requires a minor and a language, which can make your degree more flexible while supporting your ability to work with people in other cultures.
