Understanding the impacts of the environment on the planet is a critical building block for young minds, and it’s why the world needs more Earth science teachers. You can lead the charge by earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology - Earth/Environmental Science, Secondary Education degree at App State.
Applied learning is a big part of what our future teachers do at App State. All of our teacher education degrees have classroom experience built into them, equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you ready to enter the classroom prepared to enlighten, educate and inspire.
As with other App State Geology degrees, you’ll study in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences, learning about evolution and plate tectonics, sedimentation and sea level change, water resources and groundwater contamination, and much more.
