If you have a passion for sharing your love of language with the next generation, pair your passion with App State’s tradition of training well-rounded teachers and earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in English, Secondary Education.

This NCATE-accredited program produces the most Secondary Education graduates in the state of North Carolina.

Applied learning is a big part of what our future teachers do at App State. All of our teacher education degrees have classroom experience built into them, equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you ready to enter the classroom prepared to enlighten, educate and inspire.
