App State’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Music Industry Studies - Music Marketing and Promotion degree program covers concepts that go into promoting clients’ and artists’ careers, including marketing, accounting, intellectual property, artist and product management, and publishing and distribution.
The program’s courses include a broad core in music industry studies as well as specialized classes in music management and marketing, legal issues in the music industry and experience running Split Rail Records — App State’s nationally recognized, student-run record label.
Not only will you discuss music marketing and production concepts, you will also experience it by taking part in a capstone internship, which generally occurs in a major music center such as Charlotte, Nashville, Los Angeles or New York City.
Plus, you will familiarize yourself with basic business and entrepreneurial skills through a required business minor.
