Costs and Aid

Empower the next generation and shape young minds.

Young adolescents are a fascinating age group. App State’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Middle Grades Education - Mathematics and Science prepares you to teach in sixth through ninth grades and to be an advocate for this developmental age group.

Because middle school teachers often teach in interdisciplinary teams, App State’s program prepares students to work alongside others when planning instruction, developing curriculum and working with students and their families.

Your classes cover everything you’ll need for your first day of school as a teacher. Learn how to manage your class, write lesson plans and meet the learning needs of all students.

Applied learning is a big part of what our future teachers do at App State. All of our teacher education degrees have classroom experience built into them, equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you ready to enter the classroom prepared to enlighten, educate and inspire. Our teacher education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
