With App State’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art and Visual Culture - Art Management, you’ll acquire the leadership and management skills you’ll need to thrive in the dynamic arts realm. 

At App State, we know it takes more than imaginative finesse to successfully lead an arts organization. That’s why we prepare future arts administrators like you with business acumen, marketing expertise and management skills to tackle the art world’s greatest challenges.

Our curriculum will help you equip yourself with the inventiveness to produce artistic displays as well as giving you the foresight to stay ahead in a rapidly changing realm by shaping exhibitions, performances and experiences.

Practical experience is gained on campus at Smith Gallery, where you’ll play a vital role in preparing exhibitions.

    Jody Servon is an artist, curator and educator engaged in art in cultural production. Her projects and social experiments have appeared in exhibitions, screenings and public spaces in the U.S., and beyond. She has received multiple awards including two fellowships from the North Carolina Arts Council. Articles and reviews have appeared in: The New York Times, Time.com, The Palm Beach Post, The Miami Herald, Arizona Daily Star and The Winston Salem Journal. Servon’s work has been featured in numerous art publications and literary journals.
