Emerging global issues, rapidly advancing technologies and multicultural consumer behaviors are part and parcel of understanding the fast-paced, dynamic fashion industry.
App State’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Apparel Design and Merchandising enables you to develop competencies in the ecological, socio-psychological and economic aspects of apparel and interior design, production, distribution and consumption.
As an Apparel Design and Merchandising student, you will build a comprehensive base of knowledge about the textiles and apparel industry. This includes merchandising and marketing strategies, fashion design, product development and production processes.
You’ll complete a for-credit internship with organizations that include showrooms, design firms, stylists, retailers and fashion magazines in locations such as New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Charleston, Washington, D.C., Colorado and South America.
